Madness in Mullingar :D

On the 24th January TY's were back to their usual antics, gallavanting around the country,  this time at the home of Mr Horan for the Briary Gap drama competition. We were accompanied by Ms Cosgrove Ms Boes and Ms Guilfoyle and dramas from class Banba and Eiriu took to the stage to display the talent of the TY's 2011/2012. Personally I think that each girl deserves nothing less than an oscar though there can only be one group to go throgh including groups from Kings Hospital and Sacred Heart secondary school in Mayo. My favourite drama was definitely concrete angel by class Eiriu focusing on the issue of child abuse. Well done to all the girls involved :)
Our next trip is to be to Kildare town as part of our religion course where we shall visit the cathedral of Saint Brigid and her well, no doubt  it will be as much fun as always :)

Young Scientist - an experience to remember

On the 11th of January Aisling Tynan, Hannah Mc Millen,CaitrĂona Eves, Sarah Hart, Elaina Kelly, Isabelle Fagan, Niamh Egan, Amy Christopher, Sarah Donnelly, Alswyn Hennesy Doyle and I were off to the BT young Scientist and technology exhibitioon. It was an AMAZING experience, very possily my favourite experience in my 4 years at St Wolstans so far along with the musical. We made so many new friends from every corner of the country. Each evening we went to a different activity including 3 discos, Karaoke and a table quiz which were great fun though the competition itself was the most exciting and enjoyable. We also wanted to thank all the science teachers for their support and help over the past few months. The rest of the TY year and second years also came to join us on the Friday which was also a great experience!
We are all without a doubt applying again next year for the hope of having the opportunity of such a great experience again ! On a less exciting note, TY and fifth year parent teacher meeting are today ....DUN DUN DUNNNNNN .......
