Flo ..my inspiration, and life.

Okay , so I thought that the topic of this deserved its own post . For those of you who don't know me , I have an unhealthy obsession with Florence and the Machine . When I found out that she was finally returning to dublin to play the O2 Arena , I think it's safe to say I had a near experience of palpatations . Anywho , on friday morning I was up at half seven to get Florence tickets , and was unsuccesful though I would rather not talk about it . I WILL GET FLORENCE TICKETS o.O -.-

The Sound of Panic

5 days everyone ! and the musical wil begin :) This day next week the cast and crew of our "The Sound of Music" production will be preparing to go on stage for the third night :) I'm so nervous and excited at the same time :) I know it will be agreat show though , considering the amount of work and time that everyone , on and off the scenes have put in for it to be a success .
    Young scientist is a disaster ! our monitors aren't working which are the basis of our project but how and ever .....

TY gallavanting for the week :)

So last week as I'm sure you have already read  , TY's were on Work Experiece. I was in the Royal Irish Academy of Music where I go singing and hope to go to college :) The best part of it was (lunch with anita ) the opera rehersals that I got to go see going on :) Then when we got back we went to see an opera on the 22nd of November which was very very exciting :D It was the by the wonderful baroque composer , Mozart , and it was Don Giovanni :) Im going to see the opera la Traviata on Friday so its been opera all round for the past 2 weeks for me :)

Stupid computer , or maybe it was me ? ....ah well .

I just wrote out a whole post , and the computer just decided to be difficult and delete it , randomly whilst I was typing , so in a nut shell this will be a short post , because I dont have the patience to write out the post I spent 20 minutes on . Again . Im going to go download Harry Potter quotes now , Slan -.- x

Hello :) So its finally october,  and 5 days in , its getting incredibly cold ridiculously fast . Misterm and Christmas deadlines are drawing nearer each day and you can see slight  panic among some ty students , 6 weeks into our ty programme :L With countless birthdays in october amongst my group of friends , my life has will be consumed by birthday parties and chocolate for the next month , though I can't say that I complain . Rehersals for our school musical are building up , as are the scripts that I have to learn , and I'm also due to sing at the Westgrove hotel in Clane on the 24th of November for a dinner which will be used for some people's christmas parties ( not going to lie im feeling the pressure ) , and I will also be singing at a breakfast morning in aid of Childline on the 20th of November . My grade 6 piano exam is also set to be und the first week of Novemeber :) I'm also going to an opera called la traviata in the grand canal theatre on the 25th of novemeber and the musical will be on the first week of novemeber !!! :D God I onkly rea;ised the amount of stuff I should be preparing for ...:L but im going to start with planning this week :)
1.Go around to every class in the school , and give out election sheets for the students council , elections are on the 28th of novemeber and we will have to elect a new commitee !
2. Go to rehersals today ( thursday ) give grinds .
3. Win the fun walk tomorrow dressed as...
4. singing on monday
5. students council on tuesday , rehersals,piano and give grinds ( eat somewhere in there too )
6.wednesday , is when our year will be going to a mini company workshop ( and hopefully mcDonalds ..)
7. back to rehersals , and grinds :)
 during this week, l will also do some projects considering I have about 6 of them :)

Wednesday 28th September .
                                              Wakeup . Breakfast. School.  Singing ( or rehersals depending on the day ) . Eat . Sleep. Wakeup .....so on and so forth . This has presented itself to be my life since I got the part of Maria in our school play .....( drum roll please) THE SOUND OF MUSIC  ! I dont think that I have ever been so busy in my life . ever . Although I can't complain , I'm happiest when I'm busy didnt focus in this class shanen wa teaching me french . to be continued . :)

Hello random stranger ,
                                                              so today's wednesday the 21st of September , and I have come to the realisation that for the average  mundane there will be no excitement for a while , in their average and mundane lives , considering carlingford , results , and results night were all in the space of 3 days . Unfortunately for anyone who isnt in our year ( and Fortunately for Ty heads 2011-2012) we are far from "average" people . ZEE SCHOOL MUSICAAALLL  shall be taking place in december. BUZZ.  Also , its the sound of music , which is possibly the (4th) greatest  musical of all time ( I would say 1st 2nd or3rd but that would be a lie , everyone knows that Wicked , les mis , and Cats win hands down , unfortunately for me , the little mermaid was a movie before it was a musical so im not sure it really counts , though of course Ariel and her red mane would win  )
Anywhoooooooo ,  we're waiting on the results of the parts. Not as fun as one may expect , and if one would expect it to be fun they are blatantly wrong .
                                                                         

"What happens in Cralingford , stays in Carlingford "

So here  I am again , vacantly chatteing to myself about Carlingford , seeing as my last post was a complete understatement . It all began at 6.45 when the TY girls of 2011/2012 waited in anticipation of what lay ahead , and truth be told we hadn't  a notion of the events them 2 days would unfold ...
It all began with "lasering" , which was quite the experience . As a group of suburbian teenge girls, tan makeup and infact general hygiene were a thing of the past , a contrast to the hard core army suits and numerous pink wellies . Next came the activity that had everyone most excited , which was obviously lunch . I didn't realise how much I appreciated food until I was half way up a mountain with the other half to go . Then , came the groupo activities , and quite possibly the coolest person Emma and I came to meet on our travels , our instructor John , who Emma has come to idolise , and we have both come to love . I don't think I can say enough about John without making it an understatement , so I'm just going to have to leave it on that note . Between loosing the precious "gems" which were really just cool pieces of plastic , to getting stuck in a life size box in the pitch dark , the group activities were one of the best with some serious bonding occuring , but the best event of Carlingford was in my opinion Monday night , when the girls of St.Wolstan's met the boys of St.Mary's diocese . Between the singsong's and the banter , it was night to remember ! :)

Carlingford

On Monday the 29th of August I began my journey of  TY  , and 3 weeks in , and awaiting my results for Junior Cert today , I think it's safe today I had asbsolutely no idea what I was getting myself in for . It is absolutely amazing :) On Monday the 12th of September 78 sleep deprived girls  braved the cold 6.45 am winds at Esso , in anticipation for CARLINGFORD !!  we had THE  best time , I think it's safe to say it could have been the best ( and most eventful) 2 days of our young lives . From what I can only describe as a real life game of COD , to hiking up a mountain during the dreaded orienteering , we all bonded as a year , Mrs L , ms O'C and Ms B included :) If that was the  best part of TY  I will be happy , because I honestly don't think it's possible to top it  x
